A 15-year-old boy driving a minivan crashed into an Akron Police Department cruiser during a chase late Wednesday, reports newsnet5.com. The chase began near Frederick Avenue and Howard Street about 11:50 p.m., proceeded through downtown Akron and ended on Madison Avenue near Diagonal Road when the teen hit a utility police and two parked cars, police said. The youth ran and was captured near basketball courts. He was treated at the scene by Akron EMS. The police SUV suffered only minor damage, police said.
